Litigation Paralegal - Insurance Defense

Location: Downtown San Diego
Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8:30 AM-5:30 PM
Pay Rate: $30-$40/hr (DOE)

About the Opportunity

A respected law firm located in the heart of downtown San Diego is seeking an experienced Litigation Paralegal to support its busy Insurance Defense practice. This is an excellent opportunity to join a collaborative team and contribute immediately to high-level litigation work, including trial preparation.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support attorneys in all phases of litigation, with a focus on insurance defense matters.
  • Prepare, review, and organize legal documents, exhibits, and discovery materials.
  • Assist with trial preparation, including trial binders, witness files, and evidence organization.
  • Coordinate filings, deadlines, and case calendars.
  • Work collaboratively with attorneys, paralegals, and staff to ensure smooth case workflow.

Top Requirements

  1. 5+ years of litigation experience in a law firm setting.
  2. Hands-on trial preparation experience with strong organizational skills.
  3. Team player attitude with the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

  • Strong understanding of litigation procedures and court rules.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficiency with legal software and MS Office Suite.
  • Detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
